STEM resources from Discovery Education

Discovery Education through STEM Careers Coalition is offering free STEM resources for parents/family and educators. The resources are mostly one-page, easy-to-execute activities for students at home. The digital textbook company is offering free web access to K-12 digital educational materials focused on STEM subjects, designed for families and educators trying to combat achievement gaps that have widened during the pandemic.

The initiative is designed to get more students interested in STEM careers to bridge the divide/gap in the future workforce. The classroom activities not only prepare the students for what is currently available but what is to happen in the future. STEM resources will prove useful in keeping students engaged over the summer, allowing them to catch up on those subjects ahead of the upcoming school year.

The company will also grant free access to online content for families and educators focusing on financial literacy, student health and promoting emotional well-being as part of its summer offerings.

The content is available on the Discovery Education K-12 platform, used by 45 million students worldwide.
