freeCodeCamp
freeCodeCamp is a non-profit organization that consists of an interactive learning web platform, an online community forum, chat rooms, online publications and local organizations that intend to make learning web development accessible to anyone.
The self-paced curriculum involves 1,400 hours of interactive coding challenges and web development projects, plus 800 hours of contributing to open source projects for non-profits and is constantly expanded by more challenges and projects.
The curriculum is divided into Responsive Web Design, JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures, Front End Libraries, Data Visualization, APIs and Microservices, and Information Security and Quality Assurance. Participants receive a certificate after completing each section.
freeCodeCamp has recently introduced Machine Learning with Python Certification. The certification uses the TensorFlow framework to build several neural networks and explore more advanced techniques like natural language processing and reinforcement learning. It also dives into topics like neural networks, and learn the principles behind how deep, recurrent, and convolutional neural networks work.
freeCodeCamp was launched in October 2014 by Quincy Larson, a software developer.
