The content is free for downloading and is curated by the MIT community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Features of the activity guides<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Guides are aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). <\/li><li>Tools and materials lists are available for educators to purchase locally.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Activities can be offered to students in&nbsp;different contexts \u2013 as a supplement&nbsp;to coursework in the classroom setting, as enrichment activities in after school programs, and as the core program offered in workshops or summer camps.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The JV InvenTeams is part of <span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lemelson.mit.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lemelson-MIT Program<\/a><\/span> that has helped thousands of students and educators learn to invent and has recognized hundreds of collegiate and mid career inventors for 25 years. The research offers evidence that a creative, trans-disciplinary problem-solving approach known as invention education helps students of all backgrounds develop interest, confidence and capabilities
