This guide was developed as an online interactive textbook to support the new achievement standards in Computer Science that were being rolled out in New Zealand (2011-2013), and is now being adapted for use all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/csfieldguide.org.nz\/en\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alphonsedevasia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-35.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-226\" width=\"240\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/alphonsedevasia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-35.png 572w, https:\/\/alphonsedevasia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-35-255x300.png 255w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The interactive textbook offers <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/csfieldguide.org.nz\/en\/curriculum-guides\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">curriculum guides<\/span><\/a> to map the different curriculum standards, teaching guides and <a href=\"https:\/\/csfieldguide.org.nz\/en\/interactives\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">interactive programming objects<\/span><\/a>. The guide include <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/csfieldguide.org.nz\/en\/chapters\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">chapters<\/span><\/a> on algorithms, programming languages, human computer interaction, AI, Big Data etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The guide is free to copy, share and even modify. It will also be downloadable as a PDF file (although it&#8217;s recommended to read through the website because of the videos and interactive activities). The source material (all raw text, images, videos and interactive programs) is <span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/uccser\/cs-field-guide\" target=\"_blank\">available on GitHub<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">This guide is licenced under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence, which means that educators are welcome to take copies and modify them. The Computer Science Field Guide has been developed by the University of Canterbury Computer Science Education Research Group, and has been funded by various organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Find out
